PQ Ski Team – Frequently Asked Questions
Where/how did the PQ Ski Team form?
Via liquid hot “magma” Actually, the PQ Ski Team was formed in 1999 by co-founders James Valentino and Thomas Albano during what is now known as Operation Mayhem. This was the team’s first trip to Mont-Tremblant, PQ. After a week’s worth of ski, drink and fun, the PQ Ski Team was born. Who exactly is on the PQ Ski Team? Currently, the team consists of Captains Thomas Albano, James Valentino and Jason Peter Thorpe, and associates Lieutenant Commander Matthew Wilson, Sergeant at Arms Keith Baker.
Can anyone join the PQ Ski Team?
The PQ Ski Team has rigorous standards regarding admission and thusly seeks out only the most qualified candidates. It is an elite skiing organization, therefore only those recommended by current team members can be submitted for evaluation. Will there be any fees associated with being a member of the PQ Ski Team? Although there are no regular monetary fees or dues associated with membership, other than actually paying for the ski trips, PQ Ski Team members should be gracious enough to buy rounds of beers for their teammates to promote unity and consumption.

Does the PQ Ski Team have a motto?
“Ski hard, Ski with authority, and do not give into the mountain.” Note: This may also be referred to as the PQ Ski Team credo or philosophy.
Are all of the PQ Ski Team members great skiers?
Absolutely, all PQ Ski Team members have incredible skiing/riding technique. They are an elite on-mountain force of extraordinary magnitude. Their spine-tingling abilities are always peaked for snow domination.
Where else have PQ Ski Team members skied?
The list, much like our johnsons, is long and distinguished. Some of the PQ Ski Team‘s favorite stomping grounds include: Whistler, BC, Killington, VT, Okemo, VT, Windham, NY, Sunapee, NH, Mountain Creek, NJ. In addition, Captain Thorpe, Captain Jim, and Sergeant at Arms Baker have extensive Utah experience while Captain Tom has carved turns in Italy and France.
What are the other interests of the PQ Ski Team?
Besides drinking, the PQ Ski Team enjoys guitar playing, movies, having crazy fun, eating, buying cool shit and being inspirational to the rest of the world.
How many licks does it take to get to the center of the PQ Ski Team?
The number of licks is directly proportional to the amount of alcohol consumed by the point of lick – commencement.
If the PQ Ski Team could be summed up with one word, what would that word be?
“outrageously-awesome”, wait, that’s two words....how about mega-awesome.
How would I recognize a PQ Ski Team member on the mountain?
Outside of their rugged good looks, PQ Ski Team members can easily be identified by their incredible on-piste technique, hilarious nature and close proximity to the bar.
Do PQ Ski Team members drink alcohol?
Yes, the PQ Ski Team drinks copious amounts of alcoholic beverages.
Is there an official beer of the PQ Ski Team?
That which is cold and nearby.
Are Canadians friendly?
Yes, very much so, except for Alan Thicke, that guy is a motherfucker.
How long does it take to drive to Mont Tremblant ski resort?
Traditional mileage and physics dictate that the trip should take upwards of 7 hours door to door from the Garden State of New Jersey. However, the trip has been done in 6 hours flat by Captain Jim during Operation Millennium.
Is the PQ Ski Team animal friendly?
Yes, the PQ Ski Team is friend to both man and beast.
Is the PQ Ski Team microwaveable?
Yes, but we ask that you cover us with a paper towel or plastic wrap and stir before serving.

All PQ skiers are housebroken save one, who will remain nameless. JASON PETER THORPE.
Where did the PQ Ski Team members go to school?
The beginnings of the PQ Ski Team can be found at Fairfield University in Connecticut.
Is the PQ Ski Team less filling or do they taste great?
The PQ Ski Team tastes great.
Is the PQ Ski Team affiliated with a religious cult?
We have our own religion, Awesomeology, with a dash of Jibbianity.
Was the PQ Ski Team ever involved in any international espionage?
No, except for the incident where Captain JPTS was detained at the Canadian border for his wide array of identification and/or for his video surveillance of the Canadian border patrol, I mean…cell phone!!
Are the members of the PQ Ski Team single or married?
Well, Matt is married and Pete is engaged to be married. As for the others, when you’re as good looking and talented as we are, you are too much for one woman. We try to spread the love, so get in line sisters. “Come on and come to my house ladies, ladies. Come on and come to my house.”
If the PQ Ski Team could only ski one mountain where would that be?
Mont Tremblant, PQ, birthplace of the PQ Ski Team.
Have any of the PQ Ski Team members been injured on a ski trip?
I think the more appropriate question is if there is any PQ Ski team member who has never been injured on a trip, either mentally or physically.
How can I ski the best?
You must lose your mind.
Who does the PQ Ski Team ski with?
Mostly themselves.
Has the PQ Ski Team ever skied Jackson or Sun Valley?
No.
Does anyone have a problem with that?
I have a problem with that. Half naked girls walking around at 9:30 in the morning? Last year at this time, they were completely naked at 9:30 in the morning! Do you think she’s going to walk around like that all day?! Or… will she be back… For a 5:30 hot tub! Pumpkin?
What is the official dance of the PQ Ski Team?
Although Matt Wilson’s “Ode to Le Petit Caribou” is the most celebrated, the actual answer is the “Lambada”. That’s the forbidden dance. For the 2003 - 2004 ski season, Captain Tom is working on something called the “Penatrada”, which, when mastered, will make traditional sex look like pre-school.
