You know...Jim's pulling away with this one.
I may be interested in taking some side action.
This post sounds very gay.

Look, I was sick for two days and basically lost 2 1/2 gym days..
By the end of next week I expect to overtake the overall lbs lead and then start chipping away at the percentage lead.
Victory, and sweet sweet Extreme, will be mine.

If you think Tom has a fat ass you should have included him in the bet.
You must have meant "phat" ass..
How's that for a gay post?

Yeah, that's pretty damn gay.

Are you guys visibly smaller? Can you see the results of Operation Bullseye?
Thor, I suspect Jim is going to smoke you. Side action?

As a matter of fact Tom, we are shrinking quite visibly. It will probably be a bit different when you see us next weekend.

Keith, I can show you all my secrets. But you have to be dedicated or it won't work.

Hmm, through a garden hose with your eyes closed huh?
Yep.

Made you suck it through a hose, huh?

Hey, is this contest to be judged on lbs lost or percentage?
It's all tied up at 14 lbs!
By
Tomas_Volant, At
9:49 AM
Percentage. LBS lost wouldn't have been a contest.
I've got my work cut out for me these last 23 days.
By
Pete Thorpe, At

Indeed you do. However, you are in luck. It appears that I am accidentally packing on muscle again. This should aid you greatly.

Should any of you guys need extra protein let me know.
Thanks!

Actually, my injury may inadvertantly be helping me. I cannot bench, do any overhead lifting and pretty much no power moves thanks to the bum shoulder. I'm concentrating on very low weight with a moderate amount of reps until the shoulder is healed well enough to get back to lifting seriously. In the meantime I end up on the elliptical machine for the difference in time that I would have liked to spend lifting.
I can't even swim right now for cryin' out loud.

Well, if you win this thing because of Ghandi-like inactivity, I'm going to be pissed.

Prepare to be pissed.

I trust you're both using the honor system here.
There's really no way to "accurately" tell how much weight has been lost.
Thor's closing in...

Yes, we are operating under the PQ Honor System here. The laws of the land dictate that the weigh-ins occur first thing in the morning, on the same scale as the original weigh-in. Mine hasn't moved from it's location lest I disturb it's internal workings.
I believe we've entered a period where a 2lb week will be pretty big because our bodies appear to be revolting against the insane regiments we've both imposed.
By
Pete Thorpe, At
10:30 AM
I wouldn't say my body is "revolting". I would say it is growing accustomed to having less caloric intake and an increased amount of physical activity. It is trying to compensate and in doing so, is turning fat into more dense (read: heavier) muscle.

Thor, unless you chop off your leg, I think Jim may take you.
Remember, in a bet like this there are no losers; except the folks at Taco Bell who miss you both terribly.
They said to say hello and good luck!!

Jeez! That's the third person who's mentioned amputation now. That can't be good. And no Tom, amputation is against the rules.
By
JV, At

Dammit, I was all set to chop off my arm. Gotta keep the legs to be able to hit the slopes...and I don't mean the Asians.
The door is closing but it's not shut yet. We'll see what my weigh-in on Monday is and that will let me know if I can pull this off or if I'm going to have to buy Jim his lunch and dinner.

Sadly, I have tendered my concession for this battle. James was able to step up and has put himself in an insurmountable position.
Do not fear, Mrs. Valentino is still mountable though.
Congrats to Jim, he will be enjoying a lunch at La Diable and a dinner at Bullseye on me this trip.
The battle is over, but the war rages on as I make my move to a svelte 200. This little challenge has provided the kick start that was needed to get moving in the right direction.

I suppose then that I have no choice other than to accept your concession.
I will, however, continue with this bet and weight loss challenge as I need to fit into my tuxedo in a little over two weeks time.
My victory speech will come as originally planned on St. Patrick's Day. Please stay tuned to pqskiteam.com for exclusive coverage of this momentus event.

Well, it's over.
Congrats to you both; it was a tremendous contest, for good reasons.
Kudos Jim on your butterfly-esque transformation...wait...were you a larvae or a pupae? Forget it, let's eat!!!
